Funding to primary school sport extended for a further 5 years until 2020

Primary schools in England are going to share an extra £150m per year sports funding until 2020, Prime Minister David Cameron has announced.
The direct funding scheme for school sport, announced last year, is going to be extended for a further five years.
Each year primary schools will continue to receive £8,000, plus £5 per pupil.

Excel Academy set up multi skills at Sandford Hill

Emerging Year 8 leaders Ethan Holdcroft, Anaiya Anderson, Tom Cartwright and Erikha Cooke did a great job in supporting Year 5 leaders during Fitzy multi skills sessions. The work of the leaders means Sandford Hill are now skilled up to run their own multi skills festival every half term.

Year 8 leaders Holly Potts, Hannah Sheldon, Kate Rigby, Ellie Rees proved to be a real hit at Ball Green Primary School recently. Running varied sessions of multi skills activities, Ball Green Year 2s really improved the running, jumping, throwing and catching skills amongst others.
