Stretching over four nights at the Victoria Hall, it involved 1,400 performers from the age of 5 to 25 from 64 Stoke-on-Trent infant, primary, special, high schools and newly formed academies and City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College. Over four nights an audience of nearly 3,000 including proud parents, grandparents, teachers, head teachers, principals and VIP’s were wowed by the performers.

Despite the uncertain economic times and re-structuring taking place in our City, schools are very keen to maximise the chances of our young people to engage in fun healthy lifelong pursuits.

1365Many of the performances on show were choreographed by Dance leaders from the local High schools, Academies and Stoke Sixth Form College and this reflects the range of high quality leadership and volunteering that exists across Stoke. Leaders visited Primary schools to run after school Dance club rehearsals and prepare the children to perform on the night.

Dance 2014 was supported this year by Barclays Bank.
