2011’s annual Stoke School Sport Partnership Conference took place on Wednesday 28th September at Fenton Manor Sports Complex.  44 schools attended from primary, special and secondary/academy schools.  Once again, we had a busy marketplace, local coaches/companies attended to promote their services: Stoke-on-Trent City Council 2012 Olympic Co-ordinator; ASM Sport; Brazilian SoccerStoke-on-Trent Gymnastic Centre; Golden Mile; Kent House; Ministry 4 Sport; Peak Persuits; Premier League 4 Sport; Progressive Sports; Sport Across Staffordshire and SoT Disability and SOT City Council Street Games.

Delegates participated in 4 of the following workshops: Olympic Ideas; Volleyball; Get Set 2012; Fencing & Dodgeball; Quicksticks Hockey; Handball; Brazilian Soccer; Playground Leaders; Multi-Skills; Gymnastics; Tennis; Fitzy and Zumba.

“A very well organised event.  Lots of useful information and excellent opportunity for discussing/sharing ideas with other teachers/PE specialists.  Especially useful to have guidance in my new role as PLT/PE subject leader.  10/10 brilliant.”

“A super conference as regards getting ideas and information towards the Olympics both theory and practical.  Good facilities at the centre.”
